Indoor, outdoor line based on British landmark
CONOVER, N.C. — Laneventure will introduce a collection of indoor and outdoor furniture based on Leeds Castle, a picturesque British landmark dating from the time of Henry VIII.
Elements of the design from the castle, set on two islands on the River Len in Kent, England, have been integrated into a cast aluminum and a teak Leeds Castle Collection for outdoor use to be introduced next month at the Casual Show Pre-market in Chicago and The International Casual Furniture and Accessories Market in Chicago in September.
The indoor Excursions by Laneventure introduction will follow at the fall market in High Point.
The castle, which has stood for hundreds of years, is one of the most popular heritage tourist attractions in the United Kingdom. It served as the meeting location for the G8 Environmental Ministers in 1998, and the Northern Ireland peace talks lead by Prime Minister Tony Blair in 2004.
