A Topeka furniture store has put out the word it plans to close.

Lewis Furniture on South Kansas Avenue was closed Tuesday. But its marquee and door signs advertise a going out of business sale.


The marquee also says the store will be closed Wednesday and that the building is for sale.

The store’s owners were not available Tuesday to comment further on the decision.
