Iran to hold furniture, machinery exhibits

Two international exhibitions, one on interior decoration and the other on machinery, are to be launched simultaneously in Mashhad.

The 8th International Furniture, Interior Decorations and Fittings Exhibit and the 4th International Equipment and Machinery Trade Fair are opening in the provincial capital of Khorasan Razavi today.

“180 domestic and foreign companies are to showcase their capabilities over 17,000 square meters, in seven halls,” Seyyed Mohammad Sayyedi, the exhibit’s managing director, said.

Germany, France, England, Italy, Belgium, Iran, Japan, China, South Korea, Switzerland, Malaysia, Russia, Turkey and Taiwan are represented in these exhibitions.

One goal of holding these two exhibitions simultaneously is to showcase the latest creative trends and expertise in the areas covered, he said, adding that this will also be an opportunity for the participants to exchange new ideas in technical and engineering capabilities in the furniture and interior decoration industries.

The exhibition provides an appropriate channel of communication between domestic and foreign experts, Sayyedi noted.

It is worth mentioning that despite the elaborate preparations, the opening ceremony had to be cancelled because of harsh winter weather conditions in Mashhad and flight cancellations of some of the guests.

The exhibitions will be open to the public until January 13.
