Indonesia is rich in natural resources. It kinds and types also vary. One of them is rattan, another material than wood that can be used as furniture material. Rattan is a type of forest plants from the palmae family. In all corners of the world there are 16 genera of rattan from 516 types of rattan that are well known both from the calamus family, ceratolobus, mirvalepsis, ceratolobus, daemonorops, orthalgia, plectocomia, and plectocomiopsis. But only a few types have been used by humans.
