Although it contains wax, MDF wood is more susceptible to water. Therefore, you must be extra careful in caring for and storing it. Room temperature that is too humid can cause wood to become moldy. If you want to clean furniture made of MDF wood, it is recommended not to use water. Just use a dry cloth and avoid water spills.

More Vulnerable to Damage
One reasons of MDF wood more susceptible to damage is because it absorbs water very easily. If the wood absorbs too much water, it is possible that the wood panels will become soft and crumble. For example, when your house get flooded, MDF wood furniture will become damaged and difficult to reuse. Once the MDF wood has chipped or cracked, it will be difficult to repair it again.

Not Suitable for Classical / Traditional Design
In contrast to solid wood, which still has the texture and natural wood motif. MDF wood has flat surface and almost no natural wood motifs.
