At this time there is almost no environment untouched by the con block. You can see it as a coating for garden paths, village roads, and the entrance to your garage. Con block stone is so popular that it is sometimes forgotten that the name itself is a trademark (Conbloc, perhaps an abbreviation for concrete block). Con block itself is also known as paving block, paving brick, or paver brick. In general, the meaning of all three is the same, they are brick covering stone con block.

In Indonesia, stone blocks are generally made from concrete. Technically, according to SNI 03-0691-1996, block stones are made from a mixture of cement, water, and aggregate plus additional materials. These additional materials must not reduce the quality of the concrete. The thickness of the blocks is between 60 mm, 80 mm, and 100 mm (SNI-03-0691-1989).

Use of blocks
Con block is an alternative road pavement material, especially non-road roads such as housing roads, industrial areas, parks, and sidewalks. Apart from that, the block is also often used as a coating for the yard and the entrance to the garage. Based on its use, stone block can be divided into quality A, B, C, and quality D. Quality A, for example, is suitable for roads, while sidewalks generally use quality C block. Meanwhile for parks and parking areas you can use quality D and concrete blocks quality B. The quality categorization is based on three factors, they are strength against compression, strength against wear, and water absorption capacity.

Advantages of con block
Block stone has various advantages, in terms of quality, strength, shape, surface texture, and color. However, the main advantage is that if one part is damaged, the concrete blocks can be replaced easily. In general, con block is chosen as a pavement material because of its attractive shape, long service life, and durability. As an alternative to covering the yard, con block does not make the yard puddle in rain, because it can pass water easily through the gaps.
