Sarasota, Florida – Manatee County Fire investigators have confirmed that lightning caused a fire at the Tropitone Furniture Co. Inc. on Commerce Blvd Saturday.

The fire started around 4:15p.m.

The second alarm fire was under control by 5:35p.m. with one firefighter transported with minor injuries.

The furniture store was also a manufacturing plant, which caused explosions and parts of the roof to collapse.
