When December has come, all families are usually busy cleaning the house to welcome guests and family and celebrate Christmas. Some cleaning activities are cleaning the backyard, painting the house, decorating the house with Christmas and New Year themes, and preparing eating utensils.
A few changes to the house still bring a different, fresher, and new atmosphere. However, the changes you make are still within your budget. Here are some steps you can take to redecorate your house at the end of the year:
Backyard
Start to clean the front garden of your house. You can sweep or pick up leaves around the garden. Cut and trim several branches that look tall so that the garden and plants in front of the house look neat. Don’t forget to mow the grass in the yard to make it look neat too.
Livingroom
This room is the main and first room visited by your guests. You have to clean it thoroughly. Replace your tablecloth and curtains with fresh colors, repaint the walls with currently popular colors, and then start decorating your living room with Christmas and New Year decorations.
Toilet
For this special day at the end of the year, you have to clean the toilet and make sure it doesn’t smell bad. Brush floors and toilets to remove moss and limescale. You certainly don’t want your toilet to look dirty when your relatives and friends visit your house.
Kitchen
The kitchen area is the family used to process and prepare food. Make sure all cooking tools and eating utensils in your house are clean and ready to use. Take the time to clean your collection of dinner plates and serving plates, and make sure there is no dust attached.
Home Decoration
Home decoration is also an important element in welcoming Christmas and New Year. You certainly want to make your house look beautiful and fresher. Replace your curtains and tablecloths with cheerful colors. You can add some wall decorations such as paintings, photo frames, and other wall accessories. If you want to place a Christmas tree along with other Christmas decorations, the corner position of the room will be more suitable.
