The History of Bohemian Style

Bohemian style is a type of interior design that combines ethnic, vintage, and hippie elements. Initially, the term Bohemian was used to describe people who lived freely and wandered in the mid-1800s. Then this term became increasingly similar and was often associated with the term gypsy.

Gypsy itself is a term used for people who escaped from the rigid rules in Bohemia, Central Europe. Because they ran away, they lived nomadically. It kind of living on the move and not settling in one place. They are also known as people who have a free spirit.

Not only for home or other concepts but bohemian is also used in fashion. The eccentric and free-spirited impression is increasingly sought after by the general public. Therefore, currently, many people use this concept in home interior design. The aim is to display a relaxed, eccentric, and free-style impression.

The first characteristic of the bohemian house concept is that it does not give a luxury look. The bohemian style uses various decorations and furniture as is. So this design is very suitable for you who don’t like to look luxurious and prefer simplicity.

Some of the decorations in this bohemian-style house use some items already in the house. For example, used cardboard, used bottles, or items that can still be used. Even though this concept seems messy, it doesn’t mean you don’t clean up your house.
