French-based company Ego has unveiled its new range of outdoor furniture, Kama, for the first time in the Middle East.
The modular seating can be altered to form loungers as well as bed and sofa arrangements by simply moving the cushions.
“This is a really unusual product. You can adjust it to fit in with how you are feeling at the time,” said the company’s manager, Jean Sommereux.
This is the company’s third visit to the Middle East following its presence at Index and the Hotel Show.
“This is a great market but you need time to break into it. It’s a long-term relationship with regard to customers out here. They want to know who they are dealing with,” added Sommereux.
“But it’s amazing how receptive the Middle East market is to new designs and how it is able to absorb styles from all over the world,” he concluded.
The company has supplied its products to some of the biggest hotel developments in the Gulf, including the Shangri La in Abu Dhabi.
