HANOI, March 6 (Xinhua) — Vietnam, world major wood furniture exporter, will hold an international fair next week to promote furniture and wooden products and popularize Vietnamese brands on the global market, Vietnam News reported on Friday.
    The second Vietnam International Furniture and Home Accessories Fair will be held in Vietnam’s southern economic hub Ho Chi Minh City on March 11.
    During the four-day fair, companies will display furniture for use in the living room, bedroom, dining room and the office, said the organizer, the Vietnamese Handicraft and Wood Processing Industry Association.
    Machinery and equipment for wood manufacturing and processing be also be on exhibit.
    The fair is expected to attract 150 local and international exhibitors with 600 booths, ten percent more than last year.
    Contracts worth tens of millions of dollars were signed at last year’s fair, said Nguyen Trung Tin, vice chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee.
