{"id":1201,"date":"2013-07-12T11:39:43","date_gmt":"2013-07-12T06:09:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/indonesia-furniture.com\/news\/2013\/07\/12\/vellum-closing-its-furniture-showroom\/"},"modified":"2013-07-12T11:39:43","modified_gmt":"2013-07-12T06:09:43","slug":"vellum-closing-its-furniture-showroom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indonesia-furniture.com\/articles\/vellum-closing-its-furniture-showroom\/","title":{"rendered":"Vellum closing its furniture showroom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ermina Karim<br \/>\nThe Tribune<br \/>\nWill focus on interior design business<br \/>\nTwo years after opening their doors, Vellum, a San Luis Obispo contemporary furniture store, is closing its showroom at 672 Higuera St. to focus on an interior design business.<br \/>\n     <!--adsense--><br \/>\n\t\t <!--more--><br \/>\nThe showroom for the home furnishings store, which is owned by Paul Abbott, Adam Sweet and Todd Steele, will close at the end of July.<\/p>\n<p>Abbott, a Cal Poly construction management graduate, plans to offer commercial and residential interior design services through a new venture, Vellum Design Build.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Interior design has always been a part of the services we offered at Vellum,&#8221; explained Vellum store manager and interior designer Jenee Arends. &#8220;Now, instead of the customer coming to us, we will come to them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Arends noted that over 75 percent of Vellum\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s sales were from interior design clients.
