{"id":192,"date":"2013-03-01T09:17:39","date_gmt":"2013-03-01T03:47:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/indonesia-furniture.com\/news\/?p=192"},"modified":"2013-03-01T09:17:39","modified_gmt":"2013-03-01T03:47:39","slug":"high-point-market-authority-narrows-search","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indonesia-furniture.com\/articles\/high-point-market-authority-narrows-search\/","title":{"rendered":"High Point Market Authority narrows search"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8212; Furniture Today,<br \/>\nMay hire new president next week<\/p>\n<p>HIGH POINT &#8212; The Market Authority may be hiring a new president next week.<\/p>\n<p><!--adsense--><\/p>\n<p>Paul Toms Jr., chairman and CEO of Hooker Furniture and chairman of the Market Authority Board, said the field has been narrowed and he hopes to negotiate details such as compensation and a starting date with a candidate before the next board meeting, scheduled for March 8.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p> \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have anybody hired at this point,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Toms said today. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I hope that within eight days, we are able to make a recommendation to the board for their approval.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Judy Mendenhall, the former High Point mayor who has been president of the Market Authority since it was created to manage the High Point market in 2001, announced her retirement last year but agreed to serve until her successor is on board.
