Earlier this year, a Lagerinn subsidiary, Palli Ltd., acquired Pier 1\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 40-store British subsidiary, The Pier Retail Group Ltd., for $15 million.<\/p>\n<p> Pier 1\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s stock was up about 8.5% Thursday morning to $7.38 per share at midday.<\/p>\n<p>In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Pier 1 said it had spoken to members of Lagerinn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s management, and the two parties have entered into a confidentiality agreement regarding the talks.
