\nFrom 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on market days \u00e2\u20ac\u201d Oct. 16-22 \u00e2\u20ac\u201d children six months and older can stay at the Y and enjoy activities, games, snacks, lunch, movies and naps.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153One of our board members expressed a need for it,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Heidi Majors, YWCA executive director. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153So we decided we need to support the High Point Market.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
Although the organization has offered child care for the past three markets, turnout has been low. In April, only two children attended. There is space for\u00c2\u00a0as many as 30 children.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s something that makes it easier for attendees or people working, if they need temporary daycare,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Majors.<\/p>\n
The fee for children three years old and up is $30 per day. Parents can call the Y for the fee of younger children. The childcare program for the market was developed for a limited number of children, on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n
