{"id":2296,"date":"2013-10-12T09:36:26","date_gmt":"2013-10-12T04:06:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/indonesia-furniture.com\/news\/2013\/10\/12\/council-to-spend-%c2%a32500-on-furniture\/"},"modified":"2013-10-12T09:36:26","modified_gmt":"2013-10-12T04:06:26","slug":"council-to-spend-%c2%a32500-on-furniture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indonesia-furniture.com\/articles\/council-to-spend-%c2%a32500-on-furniture\/","title":{"rendered":"Council to spend \u00c2\u00a32,500 on furniture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Mayor of Driffield, Coun Paul Rounding, has been authorised to spend up to \u00c2\u00a32,500 on furniture for the new offices on Market Walk.<br \/>\n                        <!--adsense--><br \/>\n\t\t <!--more--><br \/>\nThe town council is poised to move out of the community centre and into the new offices within the next few weeks.<br \/>\nDuring the monthly full council meeting on Tuesday, Coun Mark Warner said that he had looked around an office furniture supply warehouse in Hull which had a wide range of quality goods at reasonable prices.<\/p>\n<p>Now Coun Rounding and the clerk, Mrs Claire Binnington, are to view the stock with a view to spending up to \u00c2\u00a32,500.<br \/>\nCoun Rounding stressed, however, that he would be prudent with council cash in the search for bargains. &#8220;I treat the money as if it was my own,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Councillors have agreed to install a variety of fixtures and fittings in the new offices, including an alarm system and vertical blinds.<\/p>\n<p>The toilets in the facility are to be painted magnolia and there will be white tiles in the kitchen area.
