\nWHITBY, Ontario — Upholstery specialist Sklar Peppler has added a casual dining component to its imported table program.

Lisa Tweedy, director of corporate marketing, said four tables and five chair styles are included in the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first foray into the category.

\nRetailers saw the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first foray into the category at the Canadian Home Furnishings Market in January. Sklar also will feature the product at the High Point market in April.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153They\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been designed to complement our upholstery offerings and to build on the trend we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re seeing in homes that carries the living room into the dining room,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d she said.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve also had a lot of requests from retailers to do something like this. They want a smooth transition from the living to the dining room and they want to use a product they can put the Sklar brand on,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Tweedy added.
\n\u00c2\u00a0All the tables have solid tops save one, which features a three-ply cherry veneer over solid maple. The chairs, which carry a suggested retail of $299, are available upholstered in fabric or leather. All the products are transitional in style.<\/p>\n
Sklar will begin shipping in May.<\/p>\n
