{"id":2448,"date":"2013-10-31T10:32:23","date_gmt":"2013-10-31T05:02:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/indonesia-furniture.com\/news\/2013\/10\/31\/mccreary-modern-buys-former-kincaid-plant\/"},"modified":"2013-10-31T10:32:23","modified_gmt":"2013-10-31T05:02:23","slug":"mccreary-modern-buys-former-kincaid-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indonesia-furniture.com\/articles\/mccreary-modern-buys-former-kincaid-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"McCreary Modern buys former Kincaid plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEWTON, N.C. \u00e2\u20ac\u201d Upholstery and occasional manufacturer McCreary Modern, based here,                         <!--adsense--><br \/>\n\t\t <!--more--><br \/>\nhas purchased a 137,000-square-foot facility in nearby Lenoir that earlier was owned by wood producer Kincaid Furniture.<\/p>\n<p>CEO Bob McCreary said the acquisition was necessary to help service a growing customer base.<\/p>\n<p> The new facility, which brings the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s manufacturing and warehousing space to over 1 million square feet, is expected to come online in the first quarter of 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The Lenoir plant will focus on making exposed-wood component parts and assembling exposed-wood frames, said President Rick Coffey. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Purchasing an existing building will allow us to quickly relocate our existing woodworking operations,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d he said.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second expansion for McCreary Modern in the past three years.
