Stanley Furniture Company has appointed Rick Lovorn to lead the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s manufacturing operations as senior vice president of manufacturing. He will report to Jeff Scheffer, chairman, chief executive officer and president.

\nExperienced in implementing lean manufacturing practices, Lovorn was previously director of manufacturing for Masco Builder Cabinet Group. Prior to that, he managed two plants of a subsidiary, Merillat Industries, which won the prestigious Shingo Prize for Manufacturing Excellence \u00e2\u20ac\u201d an industry first \u00e2\u20ac\u201d under his leadership.

\nIn his new position, Lovorn will be responsible for all four Stanley Furniture manufacturing sites as well as engineering.<\/p>\n
