\nthe industry\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s most coveted honor\u00e2\u20ac\u201dhas issued its 2014 Call for Entries.<\/p>\n
All rugs presented as candidates for the renowned Architectural Digest-sponsored Awards will be featured in MOI: The Museum of Introductions\u00e2\u20ac\u201dthe global showcase of the newest in area rug design and innovation from the most respected importers and manufacturers in the business.<\/p>\n
All rugs are categorized based on price points and whether they are machine-made or handmade. Anonymous judges\u00e2\u20ac\u201drepresenting designers, major retailers and\/or museum curators\u00e2\u20ac\u201dselect their favorites in each category. Winning entries are based on quality of construction, value, design and salability. The entries are not identified by company and the judges\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 selections are based strictly on the product. In addition to these juried awards, there will also be an award, selected by retailers for the most popular rug. Following completion of the judging, MOI will open to buyers and the winning rugs will be displayed at Saturday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s America\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Magnificent Carpets Awards. The Awards will be held Saturday, January 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis.<\/p>\n
