Previously, he was executive vice president and general manager of Kmart stores, also owned by Sears Holding.<\/p>\n<p> \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I am proud of the progress Sears Canada\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 37,000 associates have made this year,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Rogers. I look forward to working with our team as we tackle the significant challenges ahead.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Sears Canada also named William Crowley as board chairman. He has been a board member since March 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Pershing Square Capital Management, a minority holder of Sears Canada, announced that funds it manages have acquired another 4.5 million shares of the retailer.
