\n\t\t
\nAmerica’s Magnificent Carpets Awards, the industry’s highest honor for rug introductions.<\/p>\n
The awards will be presented Saturday, Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis during the Atlanta International Area Rug Market, Jan. 18-21. All marketgoers are invited to attend the awards gala, sponsored by Architectural Digest magazine.<\/p>\n
All entries will be featured in AmericasMart’s MOI: The Museum of Introductions during the rug market.<\/p>\n
New rugs from importers and manufacturers are categorized by retail price point and whether they are machine or hand made. Unidentified judges representing designers, major retailers and\/or museum curators make choices in each category.<\/p>\n
Awards are based on quality of construction, value, design and salability, and entries are not identified by company. In addition to the jury awards, a “people’s choice” award will be presented, based on votes cast by retailers visiting the Museum of Introductions.<\/p>\n
