\nproducer Taylor King will introduce a licensed collection next month inspired by Mount Vernon, the historic home of George Washington and his wife, Martha.<\/p>\n
Taylor King and the Mount Vernon Ladies\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Assn. collaborated on the collection, which will launch with more than 20 pieces inspired by paintings, architectural details and fabric samples found in the archives of the home of America\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first president.<\/p>\n
Exclusive fabrics were developed by Taylor King and the Mount Vernon Ladies\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Assn. The association, founded in 1853, is a nonprofit organization that preserves, restores and manages the estate.
\nThough historical references can be seen in the fabrics and frame styles, the pieces are not strictly period reproductions.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153While we have been inspired by items from Washington\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s estate to create this collection, the upholstery is styled for today\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s consumer, both in scale and in sophistication,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Del Starnes, Taylor King president.<\/p>\n
The line will be high end but pricing has not been set.<\/p>\n
Taylor King will show the collection March 25-31 during the High Point Market, in its showroom on the second floor of the 200 Steele Building. The space will open one day before the market\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s official kickoff on March 26.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
