Pulaski Furniture Corporation says it will close its last domestic manufacturing plant by late April.                        <!--adsense--><br \/>\n\t\t <!--more--><br \/>\nThe plant employs about 260 people.<br \/>\nCompany vice president Lamont Hope says the move is part of an industry trend to shift domestic manufacturing offshore to places like Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Pulaski Furniture will continue to house warehouse, customer service and other operations in Pulaski.<\/p>\n<p>The company says employees will receive severance packages and will be eligible for job placement counseling.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes four months after the company &#8212; founded in 1955 &#8212; announced it would close another Pulaski plant.<\/p>\n<p>One-hundred and 19 were laid off in that move.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2014 The Associated Press.
