\nSelamat Designs President Thatcher Davis announced the Urban Tribal Chair, designed

\nby Clay Rammage of Delano, Minn., won Selamat\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s inaugural \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Create a Classic\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Design Challenge.<\/p>\n
Hundreds of talented designers \u00e2\u20ac\u201c from students to design professionals \u00e2\u20ac\u201c responded to the challenge and sent in their best ideas to create the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153next great chair,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d with the winning entry becoming part of Selamat Designs\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 spring 2014 collection.<\/p>\n
In the last leg of this challenge, the top three designs were on display during the Las Vegas Market where buyers in attendance had the opportunity to vote for the chair they would most like to see added to the Cincinnati-based company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s collection.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153The voting was extremely tight throughout the week, but in the end Clay\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s chair claimed victory and we couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be more pleased,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Davis said. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Many of the buyers in attendance were already asking when they could place orders and we anticipate a great demand.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
The Urban Tribal chair will be available to order during the March 2014 High Point Market at Selamat\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s showroom, located in InterHall, H107 in the IHFC Building.<\/p>\n
With the success of this first year of the Design Challenge, Selamat Designs will launch the second \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Create a Classic\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Design Challenge during the High Point Market with a new set of challenges for the designers.
