JACKSON, Miss. — Workers at a a Wesley Avenue furniture store found a badly burned body Wednesday morning.

Witnesses said the victim had been shot in the head, wrapped in a blanket with the hands tied and set on fire.<\/p>\n
“His legs was tied like that, and his hands were tied. He was laying on his back,” witness Roy Holden said. “I was about to throw up. I had to get away from here, so I ran and told someone else.”<\/p>\n
Jackson police have identified the victim as 22-year-old Lynell Baughn.<\/p>\n
“The body was still smoking — they had set in on fire. They wrapped it in a blanket and set it on fire, and we just called 911,” R.E. Davis said.<\/p>\n
Investigators said they’re looking for the person who killed Baughn. If you have information that could help, call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS. You dont have to leave your name, but if your tip leads to an arrest, you could get up to $1,000.<\/p>\n
