In his new position, Popa will work directly with Jane Hamley Wells president and founder Jane Humzy to focus on strengthening relationships with A&D channels, primarily top-tier design firms nationally. Prior to joining Jane Hamley Wells, Popa served as the Director of Market Development for Bernhardt Design. During his tenure, he was responsible for developing and servicing A&D accounts nationally and directing strategic planning for two new classes of products. With an eye for strong design, Popa also collaborated with top designers to conceptualize new products and oversaw the search for new talent at top furniture shows including Milan, ICFF and Neocon.<\/p>\n
Popa first established himself as a leader in the international furniture industry with a stint at Haworth Inc. where he served as A&D Account Manager. While there, he helped cultivate key corporate relationships with major firms and introduced new sales strategies to better serve their clients. Popa is a graduate of both Harrington Institute of Interior Design in Chicago and Michigan State University.<\/p>\n
