QUIRK<br \/>\nMIDDLETOWN \u00e2\u20ac\u201d William C. Neumann, the owner of the Cabbage Rose furniture store in Fair Haven, was                         <!--adsense--><br \/>\n\t\t <!--more--><br \/>\narrested at his home today and charged with theft by deception and misconduct by a corporate official.<\/p>\n<p> Neumann, 61, who lives on Brookside Road in the Leonardo section of Middletown, is accused of failing to deliver to customers $290,000 worth of furniture orders. Neumann is believed to have defrauded at least 83 victims across the country, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p> Bail was set today by Superior Court Judge Paul F. Chaiet at $150,000. If convicted on all charges, Neumann could face up to 20 years in prison.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BY JAMES A.
