Synopsys Inc., Magma settle patent litigation<\/p>\n
South Bay technology firms Synopsys Inc. (SNPS) and Magma Design Automation (LAVA) have settled the pending patent litigation between them, according to a joint release issued Friday.<\/p>\n
As part of the settlement, the competing firms agreed to cross-license their patents and refrain from patent litigation for two years unless certain terms are met. Magma will also pay Synopsys $12.5 million.<\/p>\n
