\n The Furniture Buying Index increased by one point this

\nmonth to a reading of 81. This Index shows that consumers are looking for, but not finding new items.<\/p>\n
Britt Beemer, Chairman of America\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Research Group, said, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153lack of new items is causing interest in buying not to grow at this time.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
Beemer added, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153consumers are not seeing much new in stores or in advertising which is why the Furniture Buying Index has made virtually no movement.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
The Furniture Buying Index is compiled each month by America’s Research Group from interviews with 5,000-8,000 consumers across the country. In a typical month, 80 percent of the consumers interviewed can name a specific furniture item they intend to buy. The Index’s mark signifies what percent of the benchmark 80% actually have a particular item in mind.<\/p>\n
