ONLY DAYS before last Christmas, Cartoon Furniture Ltd was burnt to the ground but now four months later

\nthe Gallagher family are rebuilding the Killala business.<\/p>\n
The 30-year-old business was left in ruins after a fire ripped through it in the dead of the night but the Gallaghers was determined to get back on their feet.<\/p>\n
Only hours after the catastrophe, the family were unwavering in their commitment to reopen.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We serve a lot of loyal customers in the area and are delighted to rebuild. It may take us months to get over it but we won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t let this fire destroy us.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
And reopen they will with planning permission to construct new showrooms in Killala given the go ahead last month.<\/p>\n
John Gallagher submitted a planning application to Mayo County Council at the beginning of February for new showrooms and at the end of last month plan-ners gave the go ahead for the new showrooms and the demolition of the existing rooms but not without including 18 conditions.<\/p>\n
The furniture showroom can only operate from 8am to 8pm, adequate car parking spaces must be provided and the developer at his own expense shall provide a public lighting to a design prepared by the ESB.<\/p>\n
A number of contributions must also be made to Mayo County Council prior to the commencement of the development.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2357 must be given for amenities with an additional<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2357 for community, open space and recreational facilities and \u00e2\u20ac\u00a2238 for footpaths.<\/p>\n
