The company, which produces low-volume, high-quality furniture for clients such as the Commonwealth Secretariat, last year reported a turnover of \u00c2\u00a32.8m and a profit of \u00c2\u00a3150,000. The Eastlake Group has been a customer for five years.<\/p>\n<p>No jobs will be lost as a result of the acquisition and it is hoped that later this year the company will be looking to recruit more sales staff.<\/p>\n<p>David Eastlake, chief executive of the Eastlake Group, which is based in East Kilbride, Scotland, said: &#8220;This acquisition strengthens our presence in the North of England while adding an-other dimension to the service we are able to offer our customers across the UK.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Eastlake plans to increase its turnover from \u00c2\u00a38m to \u00c2\u00a334m following a recent management restructure and a series of acquisitions. The Burdew deal brings its total workforce to 160.
