{"id":4139,"date":"2014-06-05T09:59:15","date_gmt":"2014-06-05T04:29:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/indonesia-furniture.com\/news\/2014\/06\/05\/chambers-fabrics-acquires-stantex\/"},"modified":"2014-06-05T09:59:15","modified_gmt":"2014-06-05T04:29:15","slug":"chambers-fabrics-acquires-stantex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indonesia-furniture.com\/articles\/chambers-fabrics-acquires-stantex\/","title":{"rendered":"Chambers Fabrics acquires Stantex"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8212; Furniture Today,<br \/>\nHIGH POINT \u00e2\u20ac\u201d Chambers Fabrics, one of the last purely domestic mills still supplying the upholstered furniture industry, has acquired all the assets of Stantex, the former chenille manufacturer for Culp Inc.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We acquired everything except the building as part of our strategy to be as vertical an operation as possible in our chenille business,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Ray Chambers, president of Chamber Fabrics.<br \/>\n                        <!--adsense--><br \/>\n\t\t <!--more--><\/p>\n<p> He said he believes that vertical integration is key to surviving in the current business climate.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Because we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re vertical, we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have to worry about sourcing yarn \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and what we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t make ourselves we triple source \u00e2\u20ac\u201d so we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have that worry.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d In addition to making its own chenille yarn, the company does everything from weaving to finishing.<\/p>\n<p>Chambers Fabrics, which was founded by Chambers in 1989 as a converter, began manufacturing in 1996.
