\nMattress Firm, one of the nation\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s leading mattress retailers, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the leases of 16 Houston-based American Mattress locations. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

\nThe acquisition further solidifies Mattress Firm\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s leadership position in its hometown of Houston, increasing its store count there to more than 50 locations and bringing the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s total store count to more than 390 stores in 35 markets across 20 states.

The 16 American Mattress locations closed in May. Mattress Firm will immediately begin the process of transitioning the locations with new signing, its signature store format and expanded product selection. The company expects to reopen all new stores soon.<\/p>\n
Mattress Firm carries a full line of national name-brand mattresses such as Sealy\u00c2\u00ae, Simmons\u00c2\u00ae, Tempur-Pedic\u00c2\u00ae, Sleep Number by Select Comfort\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 and Stearns & Foster\u00c2\u00ae.<\/p>\n
