Oneida St., Ashwaubenon, said Wednesday it will close.<br \/>\n                        <!--adsense--><br \/>\n\t\t <!--more--><br \/>\nBruce Gerondale, the third-generation owner of the 54-year old furniture store, said Gerondale\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s La-Z-Boy and England Custom Furniture Direct operations, 2665 S. Oneida, will remain open.<\/p>\n<p>Gerondale said as a local retailer, competing against national and international merchandisers was growing more difficult each year.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153In the current market, getting a really low price and having to replace furniture every few years was more popular,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Gerondale said. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153It was hard to get across to customers that we sell quality products built to last a lifetime.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The company plans a closing sale beginning June 21.<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u201d Press-Gazette<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La-Z-Boy and England Custom Furniture Direct operations will remain open.
