\nIn response to growing demand for eco-friendly goods, the San Francisco Mart is launching Live Green, Live Well, a sustainable design and home furnishings show to be\u00c2\u00a0held Sept. 19-20.

\n Live Green, Live Well will be the first trade and home show dedicated completely to green furnishings and design. The show will offer a full range of home furnishings products and price points from established and emerging manufacturers that are using greener raw materials and\/or manufacturing methods.\u00c2\u00a0

\nLive Green, Live Well will take place in SF Mart\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s two main temporary exhibit areas:\u00c2\u00a0 Green on 1 and Green on 2.\u00c2\u00a0 The expo will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19,\u00c2\u00a0earmarked as the education day co-sponsored by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and\u00c2\u00a0from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20.\u00c2\u00a0Entrance to the exhibit hall will be complimentary to all trade professionals.\u00c2\u00a0 Fees will be charged for all seminars.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153At the San Francisco Mart, we want to encourage designers and retailers to enrich their own eco-consciousness, and that of their clients and customers, by familiarizing them with green products and practices,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d reflects Roseann Carini, SF Mart general manager.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
Show management will accept exhibitors based on an application that requires manufacturers to state their company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s environmental position statement, as well as list environmental certifications, affiliations and memberships.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153To ensure the integrity of the show, we must consider a manufacturer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s commitment to sustainability,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Carini said. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153While we would like every exhibitor to have certain certifications, we can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t command that yet in this industry. However, we expect that they will show evidence of their long-term intentions.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
