I love wood furniture but hate dusting it. No matter how many times the chairs, tabletops and cabinets are wiped down, the dust … always … comes … back. So I’m pleased whenever I find a product that keeps this annoying task to a minimum.<\/p>\n
Weiman Furniture Polish, which sells for about $5 at grocery and home stores, comes in two scents. It contains six natural oils, and Weiman says the product has no Silicones or waxes.

\nI used the lemon oil aerosol to clean the toughest dust and grime magnets in my home: the computer desk, the kitchen table and an end table between two chairs in my front room.
\nThe rich-smelling foam seemed to easily penetrate dust. Other polishing products tend to be greasy but with this one, I was able to run my hand over the wood after cleaning it without feeling any waxy buildup on my fingertips.
\nThe computer desk’s darker cherry wood gleamed. Dust bunnies tried to hide behind the flat-screen monitor, external hard drives and a small bookshelf, but this can and a paper towel took care of them.
\nThe product didn’t remove water stains from the kitchen table – the result of overzealous houseplant watering. But those cracked surfaces were smoothed out and blended better with the wood grain after I let Weiman Furniture Polish soak in for a few minutes.
\nThe spray-on polish is billed as sunscreen for your wood since it contains furniture sunblock to protect against exposure damage. I was especially interested in using it on the end table in the unshaded bay window in my front room. It was impossible to immediately tell whether the sunscreen was working. I’ll watch this over time.
\nBut it has been several days since I ran through the house with my can of Weiman Furniture Polish, and I haven’t had to dust again since. Finally, some reprieve from the never-ending dust-bunny battle.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
