A Lexington furniture store closes its doors.
\nThe problem is customers who’d already paid for their goods, didn’t see it coming.Around the beginning of the year, Sherry Price ordered a sectional and chair from Norwalk Furniture.<\/p>\n

According to her paper work she payed a down payment of a little more than a $1,000.<\/p>\n
It was suppose to be in by March, but the month came and went. That’s when she went to the store and found a note saying it was closed.
\n
\nSherry says she called the number, but no one answered.
\nSo she called the owner\u00c2\u00a0who she says is now nowhere to be found.
\nAcross town at the Racket Club, Community Manager\u00c2\u00a0Jody Williams is also waiting for furniture she ordered from Norwalk.<\/p>\n
The Racket Club paid its bill in full, about $18,000 worth.
\nWilliams says she was getting the run-around,\u00c2\u00a0so she called the national company… with no luck.<\/p>\n
We went to the house of the furniture store owner, but no answer.
\nThan we also called the national Norwalk office.<\/p>\n
The vice president of retail, Mike Kenney, told us he learned of the problem about a week ago.<\/p>\n
But he said since the store was independently owned, they were not liable to fill the orders.<\/p>\n
According to Price, about a dozen people have contacted her since she put a note on the door of the furniture store..<\/p>\n
As for the Racket Club, it has contacted a lawyer.<\/p>\n
