The fountain, designed by Nicola Salvi, was completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1751 after Salvi died. St. Peter’s Basilica
St. Peter’s Basilica is the largest in the world. This church was designed by great architects Michelangelo, Donatelo Bramante, Carlo Maderno, and Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The construction itself took 120 years. Inside this church under the main altar, there is the tomb of Saint Peter who is believed to be one of Jesus’ apostles and is considered the first Pope.
