Kimball International, Inc. (NASDAQ:KBALB) has announcedthe promotion of John Manchir to the newly-created position of
VicePresident, Manufacturing-Office Furniture Group. In this role, Manchirwill assume overall leadership of all furniture manufacturingoperations, including functions such as quality systems and qualityassurance, planning and control, program management, materials, andprocess engineering.
Manchir, 55, joined Kimball in November 2004 as General Manager ofthe Company’s office seating manufacturing plant in Jasper, Indiana.He was promoted to Director, Casegoods Business Units in December2012. Manchir’s prior experience, track record of success, andpersonal education have well prepared him for this position. He servedover a 14 year period as Vice President of Worldwide Manufacturing,Vice President, Field Operations, and Vice President, Engineering inthe NCR Corporation, and has also been a consultant specializing inGlobal Business Reengineering/Supply Chain Strategies. His educationalbackground includes an MBA from Wheeling Jesuit University, WestVirginia and a Bachelor of Science in Administration with a focus inAccounting and Industrial Psychology. He is a Certified PublicAccountant and a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. He and his wifeJennifer reside in Jasper, Indiana.
