— Furniture Today
Will be featured on ‘The Apprentice’
UNION CITY, N.J. — Furniture supplier Union City is giving Donald Trump a hand.
The company’s Baroque-style product will be featured on Trump’s TV show, “The Apprentice,†starting Monday on NBC.
Union City vice presidents Thomas “Chopper†Russo and his brother, Geno Russo, worked on short notice to supply French provincial chairs, loveseats, etageres and other pieces to Mark Best Productions, producers of the show. The company is no stranger to Trump, having helped furnish his Plaza Hotel in New York and Atlantic City, N.J.’s Taj Mahal casino.
Union City will donate many of the items used on “The Apprentice†to Don Bosco Prep High School in Ramsey, N.J., for a fund-raising auction in March. The company will have replicas of the products at the next High Point market in its showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center, space M-239.
