Broyhill has leased the space at ProLogis Park I-210, a 2.7-million-square-foot master planned park located in the city of Rialto, California. The North Carolina-based company will share space in the facility with Thomasville Furniture Industries, another subsidiary of Furniture Brands, to distribute home furnishing products to a network of retail outlets in the Western states as well as other markets.
The transaction is one of the largest industrial leases in the Inland Empire so far in 2013, and brings the occupancy at the park to 100 percent.
“We are very pleased to have been selected as the warehouse provider for Broyhill Furniture Industries,” said Pat Cavanagh, senior vice president and regional director of capital deployment for ProLogis. “This transaction exemplifies the continued strength of the Inland Empire as a distribution market and the demand we are seeing from customers for large-scale bulk facilities. We have been expanding our platform in the Inland Empire specifically to meet this kind of demand, and look forward to serving Broyhill and other Furniture Brands subsidiaries at their new location.”
“We evaluated several different providers before selecting ProLogis for this important project,” said Steve Wolfe, vice president, Logistics and Distribution, Broyhill Furniture Industries. “ProLogis Park I-210 provides not only the space we require but a prime location from which we can serve our entire distribution area.”
Furniture Brands International is a leading global manufacturer of residential furniture. Its brands include Broyhill, Thomasville, Drexel Heritage, Henredon, Lane and Maitland-Smith. The St. Louis-based parent company posted annual revenues of $2.4 billion in 2012.
