Walker Furniture is open for business.  The store has an

eclectic mix of gifts, accessories and furniture.  It also carries original artwork by local and regional artists.

The city has been working to re-energize the downtown area and was pleased to reel in another business.

City leaders believe this store is in line with what the area wants.

One of the owners of Walker is from Roanoke and says she wanted to reinvest in her hometown.  The owner also owns a store in New York City.
