Furniture Today,
HOLLAND, Mich. — The home of the future will feature bedrooms as rejuvenation centers, more “green†architecture
and interior elements, and “intelligent†furniture like Sligh’s Family Communications Center, according to NBC’s “Today Show.â€Â
The morning news program recently filmed a segment in the Sligh Furniture showroom for a feature on current and future trends for the home. The piece is scheduled to air this Thursday at approximately 7:40 a.m. Eastern time.
“Today†will showcase the Family Communications Center as an example of furniture that is trend setting in its capability to house, dock and recharge a multitude of home electronic devices, as well as organize and store a busy family’s clutter of schedules, appointments, books, mail and mementos.Â
Rob Sligh, chairman of Sligh Furniture, was interviewed for the segment.
“Smart homes need smart furniture,†he said. “We anticipate the technology of tomorrow and build it into smart furniture today.â€
