HIGH POINT — Henredon Furniture and Traditional Home

magazine are teaming up to give away furniture featured in the upcoming movie “The Nanny Diaries.”

Four consumers will win furniture that is valued at $15,000 and, according to the sponsors, will bring some of the panache of the movie’s New York setting into the winners’ homes.

Each of four winners will receive Henredon pieces featured in the movie. It stars Scarlett Johansson and is set in a fictional home in New York’s posh Upper East Side.

“Being a part of this film is exciting to us, not only because we have the opportunity to showcase some of our classical-inspired pieces, but also because it allows us to share our movie-making experience with others,” said Jackie Paulsen, director of marketing at Henredon. “What a fun story the contest winners will have to tell their family and friends.”

The grand prize winner will receive a chocolate brown Henredon Simone loveseat and matching Simone accent chair, both with tufted backs, foam blendown seat cushions and welt trim, plus four coordinating relax-down back pillows. The total retail value is $5,400.

The first prize is a Simone sofa valued at $3,375, and second prize is a pair of matching Henredon Symmetry chairs valued at $1,875 each. Third prize is Henredon’s Wing Chair, called the Revival Chair, with a suggested retail price of $3,225.

All four winners will receive two tickets to “The Nanny Diaries.”

Andrew Baseman, the movie’s set decorator and also an interior designer in New York, said he had a specific look in mind.

“It’s always a goal of mine to have audiences feel like they’re part of the movie, and in this case I wanted them to live in the same lap of luxury as the characters do,” he said.

“I was thrilled to integrate the stunning Henredon furniture into the set. The beautiful, textured fabric coupled with the sophisticated style of the sofas and chairs we used truly reflect the opulence of Mr. & Mrs. X,” said Baseman. “Whether moviegoers laugh or cry with the characters, we want them to be enthralled by their surroundings either way.”
