Heartwood Furniture, art show this weekend

The Old Art Building in Leland will host the 5th Annual Heartwood Furniture and Fine Art Show this weekend.

The show will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday and exhibit a combination of the region’s top woodworking artists and fine art from other local artists.


Woodworking artists who will be featured at this year’s show include Matt Joppich, Joe Buteyn, Joe Stearns, Chip Gadek, Bill Perkins, Bob Purvis and Lyle Jamieson.

Complimenting the three-dimensional woodworking and furniture will be a display by local artists Mary Fuscaldo, Kaye Krapohl, Delbert Michel and Carol Spaulding.
Buteyn, Stearns and Joppich founded the show as a way to showcase their own work and give the public an opportunity view a range of styles and techniques in one location.

The show runs from 1-9 p.m. Friday, with an open house from 6 -8 p.m. Weekend hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Artists will be on hand throughout the weekend to great the public.
