Fabric supplier will hire own sales force
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Fabric supplier Microfibres and international marketing company Glabman-Himes have ended their association after 22 years.
Mike Czarnecki, vice president of sales and marketing for Microfibres, an 80-year-old specialist in flocked upholstery fabrics, said the company will hire its own sales force.
Jack Glabman, CEO of Glabman-Himes, said the separation on April 3 was “amicable†and said his 49-year-old company “decided that the opportunities in a fast-changing world dictated the company remain independent.â€
Czarnecki said the long relationship “has been good for both parties; however, due to changing business objectives and changing market conditions, both companies have decided to pursue other opportunities.â€
He added, “We will try to make this transition as smooth as possible. Customers should direct all questions to customer service at our mills or warehouses.â€
