Company plans move to larger quarters
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Chinese upholstery fabric supplier JLA Home Fabrics has added an executive position and will quintuple its U.S. space in a move to a new location in the coming weeks.
Jackie Boylan has joined the company as senior business planner, a new position. Her responsibilities include planning, forecasting and ensuring that customers get their orders as needed. Boylan, who reports to President George Kerr, is new to the upholstery fabric industry and was previously associated with Emess Design Group, a consumer products importer.
Kerr said his young company is relocating to accommodate its rapid growth. The new 10,000-square-foot facility will be five times larger than its current space in Greensboro.
“April is just our second furniture market and our market placements are well beyond our expectations. We had a few bumps in the beginning, but we’ve ironed out the quality issues and delivery issues,†he said.
Kerr said the new office will be on Gallimore Dairy Road in High Point, about a mile from the current offices on Centreport Drive.
