HIGH POINT, N.C. —
A building that resembles a giant chest of drawers in High Point is getting new life as a venue for parties.
The so-called “Big Bureau” was built in High Point in the 1920s to call attention to the importance of the furniture industry. New owner Pam Stern said she bought the building to save it because no one else wanted it.
Stern said she’s spent a year renovating and remodeling the structure, which had been covered with aluminum siding.
