The Chicago Market: Living and Giving, which kicks off Sept. 17, announces a variety of special offerings for buyers and designers this fall relating to the market: 

Riverview Cocktails — Market Square, the newest design destination at The Merchandise Mart, will host this event for industry reps at the market on Sept. 18.


The International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market runs in conjunction with The Chicago Market: Living and Giving. Showcasing more than 300 permanent and temporary exhibitors, this year’s Casual Market features a variety of industry presentations, including Selling Fabric: Retail Displays & Outdoor Rooms, Textile Trends: An Al-Fresco Fashion Show, and Getting to Know Your Customer.

Other events:
First Tuesday, Oct. 2 — Sponsored and hosted by ALDIK and presented by Benjamin Cottrell, ASID, set designer for Kehoe events. October’s seminar offers designers and retailers a glimpse into what’s happening in the industry. 

Sample Sale, Nov. 1-2 — An array of exceptional gift and home showroom samples at or below wholesale prices, offered from four floors of The Mart to buyers and designers.
